Can I get my document notarized at the Library?

Answer

Yes!

Thanks to the generosity of our volunteer notaries, we offer free notary services by appointment only at several Library locations.  To make an appointment or check availability, click Notary Public Services. Choose your preferred location and date and then select an appointment from the times listed as available.  Or, Contact Us and we'll make the appointment for you.

What to bring to your appointment:

  • All correctly filled out, unsigned documents (all signatures must be witnessed by notary)
  • Photo identification for all parties involved
  • Any witness or witnesses if required

Notary services are limited to 3 documents per person, per visit. Services are offered by volunteers. Services are not available for commercial businesses.

You do not need a Library card to book a notary appointment.

If you are interested in volunteering to be a notary at the Library, please email notary@nolalibrary.org.
